PSALM 127

Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it; unless the Lord guards the city, the watchman keeps awake in vain...Behold, children are a gift of the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one's youth. How blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them; they will not be ashamed when they speak with their enemies in the gate.

Time to play catch up!

Well, I have a lot of catching up to do.  Obviously - Eliza is here, but I'll go back where I left off.  The nursery.  (All those following on facebook can ignore the next several posts since you've seen all - heard all.)

Aunt Annie did a superb job with the bedding!  I have always called her "lil Martha," as in the Stewart variety.  This was her first major sewing project and we are the grateful beneficiaries.  Pardon the unironed sheet...

Granny K made the table skirt and lamp trimmings.

I am so happy with the way it turned out.  I love the bright, bold colors!  The bumpers and skirt are solid white pique.  Aunt Annie made the bows removeable so that with the next baby (Lord willing) we can just change out the accent fabric without buying all new bedding.  Thank you, thank you!!!
